Break the Cycle

"It only takes five minutes to break the cycle. Five minutes of exercise and you are back on the path. Five minutes of writing and the manuscript is moving forward again. Five minutes of conversation and the relationship is restored. It doesn't take much to feel good again." - James Clear

I hurt my knee in October, when I was snowboarding on the Volcano in Chile, in rented gear that didn’t quite fit. I took a break to heal and since then my running routine has been off. I’ve been a little frustrated with myself because, I have not had the motivation to get back on track and going again. I have to take it slow and now I’m behind where I want to be on my fitness routine. But I came across this quote this morning as I was looking through my notes from last year. It reminded me that if I just take 5 minutes to start, I can get back on track in no time. And before you know it, I was up and doing a few miles. They were slow and careful, but I broke the cycle.

Five minutes of anything can break the cycle and make you feel good again. The new year is just around the corner. Whether its 5 minutes of exercise, 1 day of healthy eating or no drinking, or getting your sales going? Where do you need to take 5 minutes and break the cycle?

Market Update

Everyone is celebrating the drop-in rates this week. Although the bulls are out on Wall Street and stocks are rallying, many are warning not to celebrate too soon. Many are concerned that there is a lagging impact coming and tighter financial conditions are ahead. This could get good for rates but bad for home buying. It’s still too early to tell. I would be cautiously optimistic. I’m not sure we have seen the final lull for our industry.
