Your life is basically a compilation of your typical Tuesday
I listened to a podcast this week and a comment stuck with me…. ‘Your life is basically a compilation of your typical Tuesday’. Why Tuesday… There’s nothing special about a Tuesday. It’s just one of those everyday days that most of us don’t even remember. The big trips or the big life moments are important and special…. but when it’s all said and done, our life really ends up being about all the little regular moments and how the all come together to build our story. So basically all those Tuesday’s add up and define who we become.
Although this was actually my Monday, it was definitely my ideal “Tuesday”. This is a picture of us headed back to SA after we finalized a JV account on-boarding. We ran in the morning and we spent most of the day with working through a successful business meeting with a few of our top leaders (and friends). We were able to create big impact and then head home for dinner with Brandon. Pretty darn good “ideal Tuesday” for me 😊. The day was spent with people I love, it was a productive day that made a difference to others, it was revenue generating and we were home for dinner with family. 👍
As we come closer to year end it’s a good time to think about how you want to spend your next 52 Tuesdays. Be careful and intentional on how you spend them, they add up fast.
Notes that Resonated
You can pretend to care but you can’t pretend to show up
Sometimes opportunity is missed because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like hard work
Small daily actions add up… they can either work for us or against us. Either way they create a massive impact.

Life is a picture be careful to not judge it based on one pixel
Winning the talent war- Increase retention by focusing on these three things
People want to be known- make sure you know your team members personally and professionally- do you know their gifts, goals and challenges. Make sure the team you work with doesn’t feel anonymous. Make sure they feel seen and known. Get to know you people and take interest in them. Know what kind of work they enjoy.
People want to know their job matters- help your team understand how they fit in the big picture and why it matter
People want to know if they are doing a good job - make sure your team is clear on what a good job looks like. Make sure they have a tool to measure if they are doing a good job.
The three reasons people leave…. Anonymity, irrelevance and not being measured and rewarded accordingly. All three are easy to prevent with a little effort.
