Not Good Enough
"Good enough is not good enough"
- Steph Curry
If you watched the gold medal round of Olympic basketball, the last three minutes of the game is probably something you will be hard pressed to forget. Not because the USA team won the gold, and not because USA was so talented that they crushed all their competition (which they did not), but because watching the team’s energy, heart, and hustle was something special.
With 3 min left in the game, on the road, in Paris, against France, it was down to a 3-point game, and it looked like France had a chance to pull it off. France was scrappy and determined. But in that last 3 minutes, you could see the grit and determination in Team USA. Steph Curry hit 4 three pointers in the final 2:46 of the game sealing the deal for gold. It was a staggering display of sheer will, fueled by team energy and heart. “There’s just a lot of faith, living and dying with the shots you think you should take,” Curry said. “The last 2 1/2 minutes were special. Guys were hyping me up. We had confidence in what we were trying to do. And I was just really present in the moment, enjoying myself.”
His mentality that “good enough is not good enough” - is what pulled team USA through to the gold.
Stephen has put hundreds of thousands of hours into perfecting his shooting ability. He is hands down the best shooter in the league and most arguably in the history of the game. His team counts on his skills, dedication, and commitment so they can win.
We all have the one thing we bring to the game. The talent that our team counts on us to carry through so we can win. What’s that one thing for you? Are playing at your best? Is your team able to count on you? Are you honing your skills in that area or are you coasting along? Do you have a “good enough” mentality or like Steph Curry do you believe in “good is not good enough”?

Market Update
EMERGENCY RATE CUT?
Some economists are speculating an Emergency Fed cut before the next Fed meeting… Why? In Asian trading overnight last week, the spread between the yields of the 2-year and 10-year narrowed to 16 bps. Some say that markets are all but broadcasting they will force Powell’s hand, long before the September 18th meeting. But the question is it already priced in?
Mortgage rates hit their lowest levels in well over a year and moved higher at their 3rd fastest pace in nearly 2 years. After all that took its course, rates skyrocketed through Thursday afternoon. The rebound was abrupt by normal standards. The average 30yr fixed rate rising nearly 0.3% in just 3 days--the 3rd biggest 3-day jump of the year. Buckle up and expect this rockiness to continue.

Food & Drink
I found the most delicious yogurt. It’s a little expensive because the jars are glass and reusable but if you buy jar lids you can use them for storage. The yogurt is natural, fresh, and delicious. A little fruit and some crunchy toppings and you have a tasty special treat.
