The Mundane Way to Elite Performance
As “high drivers”, we often get fixated and distracted by the shiny and exciting. We are constantly looking for the next thing to excite us, level up our performance, and help us stomp out the competition. But the truth of the matter is that the new and exciting may tell a great story or get our heads to turn, but it’s not what really moves the needle. Spoiler alert!! If you want elite performance, it doesn’t come from anything exciting, it all comes from the mundane.
Whether you want to be a $100 million dollar producer, a rockstar parent, a marathon runner, or a kick ass gardener the extraordinary is always done by embracing the mundane.
The Boring… Mundane… but surefire keys to the Extraordinary:
Vision (be clear on where you are going so you can figure out how to get there.)
Prioritization (Work on the most important things that help get you to your vision, and only you can do…. do them first.)
Systems (a documented way of success, that reduces your effort and increase your effectiveness)
Presence (Routinely show up as your best self, day in and day out no matter what)
People (the people around you will either grow you or shrink you)
Which areas do you need to be working on? If you’re not where you want to be or need a reset, start at the top and work your way down the list.
