The year of the Rabbit

Today marks the day of the Chinese New Year. This year’s totem is the water rabbit. The Year of the Water Rabbit is said to bring challenges, but it also presents the perfect opportunity for personal growth. With our industries current state I think this is a perfect totem for the year. It will bring challenges but if we are diligent, we will gain personal and professional growth.

Notes that Resonated:

  • Many take better care of a car than we do of our body… Do you need to improve here this year?

  • Diet and exercise- it’s not a knowledge problem, it’s an execution problem. Get after it!

  • “If we did the things, we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.” —Thomas Edison

  • What does it take to be your best? What does it take to be great?

  • Are those things on your daily to do list?

  • Ignore the distractions, eliminate the excuses, and focus on the execution

  • What’s the hardest thing you are doing right now. If you can’t answer that you are not growing

  • What you see is what you get

  • Starve your distractions and feed your focus

  • You can find excuses, or you can find the energy to get after it? Which will you do?
