Make it Happen!
Super awesome week filled with heavenly sunsets, lessons from thought leaders and even a harvest moon lit paddle ride! đ˛
This week was a much needed mindset reset. Spending a few hours with Dallas Seavy (a world renowned Iditarod racing champion) really recharged my brain. He challenged not only our mindset on a thriving in a tough environment he also gave our leadership team some amazing perspective on dealing with adversity, ensuring your team has everything they need to win and innovating in even the toughest environments. His message on âsoft quittingâ (more info below) was so relevant to the market we are facing. Many of us have been âsoft quittingâ in this tough environment without even knowing it. We have less than 120 in the year and have every ability to find the opportunities and win even in the toughest times.
We will post a recording of his keynote sometime this week. Itâs definitely worth the watch.
For all of you that were blessed to attend this event⌠Donât waste it. Pay it forward and share what you learned. AND PLEASE whatever you do, donât let Monday pass without writing down the three most important things you are going to accomplish before the end of the yearâŚâŚ AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Notes that Resonated
Lululemon founder on Goal setting:
Are you creating your own constraints? Are you setting your goals based on your past? Are you setting your goal based on what you have had the ability to accomplish in the past or are you truly thinking about what is possible? Are you setting them based on where you were last year or where you could be?
Whatâs the scale of your ambition? -Roelof Botha
Predictable revenue is created through predictable lead generation
Dallas Seavy highlights:
Do you believe that the harder things get the better we do?
Are you burning clean fuel? Whatâs you motivation? Is it pure? You have to be driven by the right thing. Only clean fuel will be sustainable fuel when things get tough. Are you being honest with your motivation and it is a pure, clean fuel?
Embrace the Suck
When training your team train the whole athlete (mind, health and skill)
If you ask yourself in the middle of a tough race why you are running⌠itâs too late you are screwed
Your why has to be bigger than the challenge in front of you
If you or your team believe the goal is not possible you will quit. (jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces)
Soft Quitting- Coasting to the finish line and not trying to win
Ask the question: what can i do now to help my team? What does my team need right now to succeed? whatâs limiting my team? what are our areas for improvement?
When things are tough.. decide âwhat is the next best step I can takeâ
What are the three most important things you need to accomplish this year?
David Goggins:
most people quit when they think they are at their 100% but in actuality they are at 40% of what they can actually do
where is your perceived 100%? how often do you get there? What could you achieve if you actually maxed out?
How much human potential is in you?
To get out of a rut⌠do something that you think âsucksâ every single day
