Uncontrollable
I’ve said it a few times in my weekly snippets. I am a control freak. I am not a recovering control freak; I am a full blown, bonafide, always got to make things best for everyone, control freak.
Only Leaders Have Followers
Sam Altman was fired last week. You may not recognize that name but most if not all of you have heard of his company, Open ai or it’s byproduct ChatGPT. Even if you don’t know who he is, after last week’s events, I think you should know his story.
Amori Fati
It’s not the joy that brings the gratitude, it’s the gratitude that brings the joy.
A grateful thought is the most powerful weapon against fear, anxiety, and anger.
Consistency
“It’s not about intensity, it’s about consistency…. if all you do is go to the dentist twice a year, your teeth will fall out. You have to brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes…” Simon Sinek
Defy Gravity
Is market gravity pulling you down? Dealing with negativity can be part of the human experience but too much for too long can really begin to drag you down.
Zebra Effect?
Massive change and challenging times can create a mountain of thoughts, pressures and to do lists that all need focus to help transition your business or organization in the right direction.
Learn to Dance in the Rain
Ahh! It’s fall and all the leaves are in full on fire mode!! If you haven’t had the opportunity to take a hike in the fall and see the colors change… man, you are missing out. It’s one of the most beautiful sites on the planet. Your eyes almost can’t believe the wild colors they are seeing.
Your Routine Net
So, I’ve been mildly called out…. well actually I was asked why my newsletter has been coming out later than usual. And while I may have all kinds of “reasons”…
Rhythm and Funk
Rhythm:
a strong, regular, repeated pattern, a flow, a cadence, tempo, pattern, pace, exact repetition
No Magic to Winning
No matter what you are doing, health, sports, real estate… there is no magic to winning. Winning as a formula is pretty simple, it’s not easy but it is simple.
Snakes, Ladders and Day One
The real estate industry is always a game of snake and ladders. Sometimes you are climbing and sometimes you are sliding. It’s an industry notoriously filled with feast and famine. And depending on which side of the market you are on right now; you are either feeling like you are at square one and you are having to reinvent yourself or you are in the builder space
Direction Not Speed
I saw this drawing and it’s a great reminder for me. Along with my obsessive need to keep things in control… I am also a speed freak. Nothing ever seems to go fast enough.
Hiking When You're 100
I want to be able to hike when I’m a hundred years old. While this may be an odd goal for some, for me, it kind of sums things up for my health goals. I don’t necessarily want to live to 100. But I do want to have a sharp mind and a strong body well into my later years in life.
Create a Parade
I came across a story this week that really resonated with me. For those of you that have children (or can remember being one 🙂), the phrase "I’m bored" comes up quite often.
Will it Matter in 5 Years?
I read this quote this week and it struck me as such a great reminder… "If it's not going to matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes being upset by it."
We often get caught up in the little things that don’t matter and allow it to spoil our day.
R U in Control
As many of you already know I am a HUGE control freak. 😊
It has often served me well over the years, but it can also be a huge burden and something that can hold me back. I was blessed this week with a situation and being completely out of control. I was horribly stressed over it and in complete unrest. But I learned something very freeing too.
