Connection
This week at top producer we were able to connect with people we haven’t seen in over 18 months. Everyone was so hungry to connect and get out of the COVID rut.
Dumpster Fires, Obstacles and Optimism
This week was a hard week for the market and it’s a hard time for many the industry. Mortgage rates haven’t been this erratic since Black Monday when the stock market tanked in 1987.
Nothing Like It
Nothing like a good pork or fish taco! This hole in the wall recommended by Brad has both and was a must visit if you come to SA. I’ve linked the restaurant link below so you have it for the future. So good!
Happy Labor Day
Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is enjoying a nice long holiday weekend in the sun with fun, family and friends! 😊
We recently moved to a temporary home so we can repair some things at the house. This move has really created chaos in my routine and thrown them out of whack. So this week it’s time to get back to the basics and realign my routines.
Weird Week
This week is a weird week it started with a new lamb at the ranch, discovering bubbly water, COVID protocol, and learning the proper order to watch the Avengers. How to watch the Marvel movies in order.
Perspective
Benny commented on my peach story from last week and it resonated with me so I thought I would share his comments. He makes a very valid point. All too often we see a less than perfect or anticipated outcome as a failure. When in actuality it is a success. It just might not be the one you had in mind. So many parallels can be driven from his point.
Taking Advantage of Time
It’s been a minute since I gave a ranch update so thought I’d share today…. Basically we suck at farming. 5 of the fruit trees died and we literally have one tree that had one peach on it. But, when I went out today to check on the peach today and guess what… its gone 🙃 so at least for this season that’s the end of the fruit.
Good Habits
This week was all about creating/ maintaining good habits and strong systems.
As the market starts to shift and the competition starts the get gnarly… We need to be more focused on the basic blocking and tackling that makes us great.
The Difference Between Stress and Passion
The difference between stress and passion…. Great video and advice for leaders
Conversations
I came across a couple of articles this week that are really connecting a theme. Quitting seems to be a thing that has been magnified from the pandemic. Mortgage had it pretty bad in 2020 but it’s really becoming a trend for everyone else is 2021.
A Team Circus and a Texas wedding all in one week!
Lots of great highlights this week! A Team Circus and a Texas wedding all in one week! How much better can it get?
Pushing Forward
So proud of all the work you guys did in May. It was a strong production month and it closed out so much smoother than expected. Things are definitely starting to settle down and get back to a more normal flow. All your hard work is paying off!
The Hidden Power of Hobbies
As a over scheduled type A personality that is always on… I found some good points in the podcast Focus on this episode #85 The Hidden Power of Hobbies. (of course I had to listen to it on 2x speed because some parts are slow but the podcast makes a good point on hobbies
The Recruiting Process
Ok so to start things off just want everyone to know that the chickens that are left are all good… They stink and we are soooo ready for them to go outside. The roosters are HUGE! Shout out to the Spells! They were right having a chicken by your desk makes everything more fun 😊
Farm Life = Fun Life
I hope everyone had an awesome Easter or Passover weekend. We are all so blessed to live in a place where we have the freedom to celebrate our religious beliefs as we see fit.
